Last year Brandon Thurmond led the Arkansas-Pine Bluff defense with 70 tackles (41 solo), 25 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble. He is originally from Augusta, Georgia where he attended Laney High School. Brandon Thurmond was a guy that tore the SWAC division up. He was by far the best pass rusher in the entire division.  Thurmond finished the season as SWAC’s defensive player of the year.  Thurmond also added one pass break-up, seven quarterback hurries, three recovered fumbles, one forced fumble and one blocked kick. This kid is a true gamer, and now is trying to make the roster on the Atlanta Falcons. The way I watch film is see how the offensive linemen set on run/pass plays. Examples what set does he take when he’s in a pass position. If he’s heavy on his hands when it’s a run play, as well as when it’s a pass play I see how many kicks he take before he shoot his arm for my timing
